Club pixetra of Kochi organised a workshop to the Periar Tiger Reserve in the third weekend of October with professional photographers Amogaversha and Seturaman. Better Photography representative Alok Brahmbhatt also accompanied the group. On-location tips for actual shoots of wild animals like elephants, bear and herds of gaur and also a lot of birds and butterflies. The shooting session was followed up with a review of the photographers' works and a Q&A session at a resort in Thekkady.

The trip was held for two days and the trip was rounded up with a brief presentation on how to "get most out of your compact camera" by Alok. Says Srikantan Suryanarayanan, Founder on the club, "We want people to experience photography - make them take better pictures. I learnt it by experience and I believe that it is not necessarily a classroom experience".
