Get Ready for some high sea action with the Volvo Ocean Race at Kochi between 3rd to 13th December 2008.

All of us, at pixetra club will of course be in the thick of the action. pixetra club has been selected as the Official Photography Resources Partner for the Volvo Ocean Race.

As a pixetra club member this means that you get unlimited access into the Port, High Seas and the Race Village. You are therefore uniquely positioned to travel the high seas and capture the race in action. AND you will be assigned to a race team. This provides you unlimited opportunity to meet, learn and shoot alongside the international camera crew traveling with the teams. Any photographs you take, if selected, will be featured in a coffee table book with your name and accreditions. The book is being developed by the Cochin Port Trust for global circulation. As a part of the race stopover, there is a 10 day cultural extravaganza being planned in the Race Village at the port.

You can decide to participate on select dates of the event or on all days. And the selection criteria is...

• You must have a DSLR camera with tele-photo lens
• You need to submit a passport sized photograph to pixetra since this is required for security clearance at Kochi Port
